Matthew Leyba-Gonzalez is Dedicated to Workers
Matthew has dedicated his career to fighting for better jobs with fair pay and benefits for local families, while strengthening the local economy and expanding apprenticeship programs, job training, and worker safety. He currently serves as the Business Representative for the San Diego Building and Construction Trades Council. The umbrella organization for 22 construction craft unions and over 35,000 hard working men and women in San Diego County.
Matthew Leyba-Gonzalez is Dedicated to the IB Community
While serving on Council, Matthew organized an annual district wide clean-up as well as an annual career fair at Mar Vista High School. He also dispersed little libraries throughout District 4 to help increase literacy among the children of Imperial Beach.
Matthew Leyba-Gonzalez is Dedicted to Businesses
Keeping Imperial Beach businesses afloat during the pandemic was key, and post Covid Matthew has continued working with the businesses in District 4 to ensure their success. He will continue to support IB local businesses in his everyday life.
